Outwood Grange Academy, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (OA) Freeston, OA City Fields, and OA Hemsworth, donated a considerable amount of PPE equipment including safety goggles, face visors, face masks, gloves, aprons and disposable suits, to Pinderfields Hospital to help the Hospital during the current coronavirus outbreak.
The CEO of the multi-academy trust that sponsors the four secondary academies has said the Trust wanted to stand up and do their bit during this national crisis to help the NHS.
Martyn Oliver said:
“We are in the midst of a national crisis and it is time that we believe we all need to come together to support each other to help the country get through this situation. This is why we decided to take action to do what we can to help our NHS.
“While we may not be equipped with machines or medicines, we did have resources which are still important to the cause and we wanted to ensure these were put to best use.â€
Martin Barkley, the Chief Executive of The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has since contacted the Trust to pass on his thanks for its kind donation.
